Strangers are Awesome

My first Warm Showers experience was so great! On a whim I decided to get out of the city and ride to Port Townsend on my new Surly, named Shurly. I contacted a couple hosts and was so blessed to have Bill and Cindy Abbey in Poulsbo, WA accept me as a guest. Both are avid cyclists and spend their time touring the world together. I am new to touring and learned so much from them. Not only were they interesting but kind and knowledgeable. I could talk to them for hours! And ride for days!
Day 1 ride was 22 miles, day 2 was 38 miles to Port Townsend where I hopped a ferry to Coupeville, WA. Rode another 28 to Clinton, ferry to Mukilteo. The weather was fantastic!
I plan to use WS app a lot in the coming future and will one day be able to host.

Thank you!
