Getting a lot of guests but not any responses from requests for hospitality fro a trip I'm planning to London... WS hosts not reponding....

Hey Kevin, I've had quite a bit of experience with this. I found that the more info in my bio and in the introduction of the request letter, the better the response rate. Lead time is a factor, also. In addition, I use a shotgun approach with a form letter, writing to four or five hosts at the same time and place. (The adjustable form letter makes sure you don't leave out any pertinent information.) I've just begun my mailings now for this year's upcoming ride in May. It's common for me to have some members who do not have my requests forwarded through the website and the only way they get it is if they visit the website down the road. My experience is that today, people expect you to answer within few hours.

 not living with my phone glued to my ear, I cannot and will not meet that expectation.
