Africa 2018

Hello!
In 2018 I plan to cycle down through East Africa. I will start from Sweden in oct/nov this year and planning to cycle to South Africa via Greece. 8-10 month in total.
Is it anybody else who is planning to go to Africa in 2018??
I am a 33 years old man from Sweden. Have done some trips in Europe the last years. It would be nice to come into contact with somebody 20-40 years old. Man or women :).

Contact; r.baath@hotmail.com
Or on messenger; Richard Bååth.

Hey hey have a great trip, I'm planning a Europe - Capetown trip myself but leaving in 2 years (2019). I cycled London-Capetown 20 years ago so it's going to be interesting to see the differance between years. Are you going to blog your trip?

Blogging

Looking forward to following your blog, it's a very closely named blog to the chap I cycled through Asia with www.richardbike.com.

It's always good to see someone's equipment they take with them as with the planned route and the actual route thats taken.

Kande beach in Malawi was a great place to spend a few days relaxing then getting some crazy Africa suits made in Lilongwe. The Ngorongoro Craters was awesome as was Victoria Falls (we couldn't leave that place, we stayed for 2 weeks eek).

Have a great ride.

G"day Richard

G"day Richard

I am planning a bicycle tour from Dimmyyat.Egypt to Bahir Dar.Ethiopia ,but in Feb 2019

My advice is to take the coastal route from Cairo to Aswan ,thats via Hughada and Qena

Its not safe to cycle inland.

I got some ifnromation about the water stops from Wadi Halfa to Khartoun in Sudan(thats a 1000 KM in the desert)

I ll email them to you .

Good luck and happy cycling

Bobby

East Africa

Hi Richard,

I am wondering where you are at the moment?

I am looking for a travel companion to cycle mainly in East Africa (Tanzania, Uganda, Kenia) and maybe further starting probably in June, as there is the rainy season coming up now...

Would it fit in your planning?

Cheers

Michel
