use "Mark Obsolete" key to mark obsolete posts or links

Hi
It happened to me several time that I read some obsolete material in the forum but I didn't dare to click the "obsolete" link because I didn't know how it works. I mean does anyone check that post before deleting or not? Or is it deleted just by my vote or the responsible person wait to other votes or even judge it by reading the post himself or herself?

thanks a lot for all the energy you consume for this site

Yes, we check before acting

Marking something obsolete sends a message to we Admins, both of us. One of us then checks the posting to see if it is indeed obsolete.

Occasionally the content of the thread, though obsolete in the strictest sense, contains information that retains some usefulness beyond the expiration date of the original intent. At least it does for the Admin who vets the posting.

By all means, if you see something that is obsolete, please mark it so and we will check it.

Mark
