For an upcoming two week cycle tour, I contacted 5 Warmshowers but only heard back from 2. It makes it harder to plan when you don't hear back. Perhaps we need a NOT CONVENIENT button to click so we at least get a response.

I had many times this probelms but not only at wamrshowers also at couchsurfing its really pity that happen like this. I dont understund we they get member at this website!??!!!

They sign up quickly to come

They sign up quickly to come back and have a look later and never return, they sign up to be hosted with no interest in hosting themselves, they only reply when they want to host... the reasons are endless, but I don't believe that making it easier for these types of members to send a negative response is going to change things much. What we need to do is make it easier for guests to find active hosts.

I understand what you mean

I understand what you mean and as a host I always try to reply as quick as possible, even if it's a no or a maybe for that matter.
I host on both warmshowers and couchsurfing (but we are more open to cyclists), I try to keep my reply rate at 100%, that's what I consider the thing to look for, maybe a option to show hosts with a certain reply rate would be nice?
