stickers

Hi everybody,
I am a summer cyclist travellers, and I bike some during the remaining of the year. However, I drive my car quite a bit and I would like to be able to be identified as a cyclist when I pass other touring fellows. I don't blow my horn, because I feel this to be rude and I sometime waive. Would it be possible to create in the biking community a bumper sticker to identify us as cyclists in order for people we pass to know that we are of the same kind? I would like that very much. What do you think?

Bumper stickers ...

I like the idea of " Share The Road"....http://probicycle.com/stickers.html

These ones can go on your car ( the large size) AND on your bike too ....

you should suggest this to the administrators of warmshowers, i'm sure if they got some stickers advertising the site printed that lots of people such as yourself would be happy to buy them for a couple of dollers/pounds/euro/yen/peso/whateveryerhavinyerself

Yes good idea, I envision something such as "I love (heart) bikes with a good fun picture for the bike.

I agree with this too. Either a sticker that goes inside the back window sort of like the white family ones or one that goes on the bumper would be great. I also like the share the road idea. We have those here for bicycles. If there was a Warm Showers sticker to put on my bike, I would buy one. I suspect there is a market for this and especially think it would be workable if the sticker or decal could be mailed in a regular sized envelope. That would make shipping less complicated - presuming it was done through the site as opposed to on another site.

In the UK a sticker started

In the UK a sticker started to appear on a lot of lorries saying "cyclists stay back", with the idea being that undertaking was dangerous. However this sticker was quickly adopted by vans and even cars and the feeling among a lot of cyclists was that firstly the wording was clumsy and secondly that adoption of it by smaller vehicles was inappropriate. Therefore a new sticker was made in the same design saying "cyclists stay awesome". They are sold by road.cc for cost (here - http://road.cc/content/news/121857-share-love-road-stay-awesome-sticker). Maybe this is a good sticker to adopt?
