Tent

My partner and i are planning to buy a new tent for this season. We are both 50 + yrs old ..want light weight plus room for gear inside..we are thinking Mutha hubba by msr , or hilleberg anjan 2 ..any comments or suggestions..we have a type of tunnel tent now, but " crawl" over our gear in the night in and out of the tent which can be quite annoying.

If you want a basic, two person tent that's inexpensive and durable, the Eureka Spitfire 2 can't be beat. Best bang for the buck. Double side entry, good height.

I am about your age (less limber than those 20-something cyclists). I am 5'-10" and my experience is my 2-man tent works well for me but is too confining for two adults; spring for a 3-man tent and enjoy a good night's sleep.

Yes a 3-persons tent is recommended. Enough space for baggage and for moving in night.
Can`t give a recommendation cause you don`t tell what you want to do. Hilleberg tents are really good but not recommedable in humid climate.
