The new design lacks the beautiful simplicity of the previous one, navigating it is time-consuming and does not give an immediate and clear result - as it was before when you opened an account and saw all the activity around your presence in the community. It's very important to recover elements of the previous project and reinstall things like sorted messages and access to the profiles of the people who sent them.
As you know, better is always the enemy of good, and this is confirmed here.
One of the most important features of the old website was the information about the members' activity - when the member has actively visited (logged in) their profile last, and thus had the opportunity to check their message inbox, that means - requests. If you see that the member has last visited its own profile months ago, you do not send your request to him/her, if you see that one is currently active - you send your request.
Please install this feature back in the member profiles.
I do have another opinion: the new site is more simple.
Therefore easier to access.
I like that the new site concentrates on the essential functions.
However: re-installing the 'member has last visited'-functionality, can indeed be useful!
New site is as much inconsistent as the old one (for example editors for messages, feedback, contact-us and forum are all different), there are a lot of just appearence flrills that create incompatibility with certain browsers, some features disappeared.
One is the last active, that even if not necessarily true (if one has notification for all messages active has no reason to go to the site other than look for other people profiles, so could be able to answer in seconds from the email, even if -if has not received any request in the last period- could appear that is months that does not is active).
A major loss is howewer the lack of % of answers, since beside making clear who cares to answer, was an incentive to answer in any case to keep the score high.
